Moldova cybersecurity forum 2024: Building Cyber Resilience Through Collaboration and Investing in Education and Innovation
The 2024 Moldova Cybersecurity Forum, held in Chisinau on February 9th and organized by the EU Partnership Mission to Moldova and Ministry of Economy Development and Digitalisation, emphasized the imperative of fostering cyber resilience through collaboration while emphasizing investments in education and innovation.
This significant event featured panel discussions, presentations by global experts, networking opportunities, and cyber security courses at the University of Moldova, attracting over 800 attendees and hosting more than 40 distinguished speakers from across the globe. During the Forum, Moldova showcased its dedication to fortifying its digital infrastructure by inaugurating two pivotal institutions: the National Agency for Cyber Security (ANC) and the National Institute of Innovations in Cyber Security “Cybercor”.
Two new institutions will play a key role in strengthening the country's cybersecurity landscape.
Having had the honour of attending the Forum, Sky Express CEO, MR. Majo Micovic, had the opportunity to introduce the advanced human risk management platform, CybSafe, during the cyber security course to the University of Moldova, contributing to the ongoing initiatives and efforts focused on enhancing cybersecurity measures. Mr. Micovic highlighted the significance of improving cyber hygiene practices among individuals and fostering collaboration among governmental, business, and academic sectors to raise awareness and fortify cybersecurity.
